People of Pontica – Martyna Ochał

Believing in yourself is the key to success.

Martyna Ochał, Supervisor

My Story

I came from the background of a Call Center where everything was changing very fast. Unfortunately, I needed to leave because for me not only the achievements are important but also how I feel at work. When I started looking for new work, I noticed that Ponitca opened a position for a Polish Supervisor, so I decided to take a chance. I remember that the most important things at this time were finding a place and people who will understand my craziness, a company that will be open-minded and will give me an opportunity to grow. Well…I think I found my place and now I am growing with Pontica.

My Motivation

The thing that motivates me the most is when someone is telling me that they’re happy at work. Therefore, the atmosphere at work is very important to me. I want everyone to feel good in our office but at the same time, I want them to understand what my work is and what are the challenges that I am facing daily. It’s also very important for me to be in a good relationship with everyone that I’m working with. It’s nice when you know that there’s someone who can improve your mood by only a small conversation.

When it comes to my hobby, that might be weird, but I really enjoy learning new languages. I combined it with scrapbooking and thanks to that I can learn new languages faster. Now I know (of course) Polish, English (as you can see), German, currently learning Spanish. I would also like to improve my knowledge of Portuguese, Italian, French. I also know some words in Turkish in Arabic and I am considering learning Bulgarian too.

I also really like to travel and to get to know different cultures. I surely have some plans to visit Spain this year and maybe (again) Turkey. Would also love to go to Cuba and Columbia.

Lastly, I love to dance, sing and listen to reggaeton, that’s also one of the reasons why I’m learning Spanish – it allows me to understand the lyrics.
