A career program for high school students interested in IT services and development
Being a part of AIBEST (Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology), Pontica took part in the National Program ‘Education for IT Career.’ As part of the program, different companies from the BPO/ITO industry were presented to show students that there are a lot of career opportunities available for development in the technology sector in Bulgaria. More than 500 students from 8th to 12th grade in 41 Bulgarian cities now receive additional IT education in the form of internships in five main centers – Pravets, Ruse, Plovdiv, Burgas and Sofia.
On May 14, Pontica did an online presentation to more than 30 high school students from different locations in Bulgaria. The Team Leader Dilyan Stoev and our Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding Director Kameliya Atanasova presented the career opportunities at Pontica. Dilyan Stoev also shared his personal story on how he became keen on technology, how then became a SysAdmin Specialist and how he now leads a team of DevOps Engineers working for a Fortune Global 500 company which offers global management consulting and professional services in more than 100 countries.
We are happy and grateful to have taken part in AIBEST’s campaign and we cannot wait for more career events!
