Pontica Solutions' CEO Ivan Georgiev becomes a member of the AIBEST Management Board

Pontica Solutions' Co-founder and CEO Ivan Georgiev was newly elected as a member of the AIBEST Management Board.

At a regular general meeting, the members of the Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology (AIBEST) elected the new Management Board. The current members of the Board are Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of Bulpros, Ilia Kustev, CEO of A Data Pro, Plamen Tsekov, CEO of ScaleFocus and Stefan Bumov, CEO of HeleCloud. The new members of the AIBEST Management Board are Ivan Georgiev, Co-Founder and CEO of Pontica Solutions, the Technology Services Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise GDBC and the Managing Partner of Cushman & Wakefield Forton.

The main task of the Board will be the positioning of Bulgaria and the region as a hub for high value-added services through innovation, development of technological products, modern business services, and solutions.


The setup of appropriate business conditions for the development of the sector, the retention and return of Bulgarian talents in our country, and the attraction of new investments in the “knowledge industry”, the safe return of employees to offices are among AIBEST's priorities. The development of a sustainable partnership with local authorities and the building of a common strategy for the growth of the sector at the national level are also among the tasks of the new Management Board.

In corroboration of this commitment, AIBEST annually chooses a location outside Sofia for conduction its annual conference. This year the event will take place in Burgas. The high value-added business services sector in Bulgaria last year will be analyzed within the conference, a forecast about the impact of the global pandemic on it in 2020 will be made and the direction of industry development will be outlined. The factors and measures that must be taken at the local and national levels to attract new investments and to create a favorable business environment for the development of the sector, which according to the latest data forms 5.2% of the country’s GDP, will also be discussed.
