My Story

I come from a legal background. Early on I realized that no matter what career path you would like to take, you need to learn essential business skills. After the pandemic started, I was let go, due to staff reductions at the Notary I was working at. When I saw the opening for a back-office specialist at Pontica, I saw an opportunity to grow and develop my business and people skills, while having the opportunity to experience a different kind of business environment. Specifically, what was of high interest was the whole idea of learning how a background check is done. A few months after joining the company, there was a Supervisor opening within the project. I applied for it but was turned down. However, thanks to the feedback I received and the actions I implemented to get better, within 2021 I was able to take the step forward to grow and develop first as a Shift Lead and then a Supervisor. Since then, I have been able to learn and experience a lot of new things when it comes to leadership and gain key knowledge and insights that will help me on my career path. My time at Pontica has been an amazing experience so far and I am looking forward to seeing where it will take me in 2022!

My Motivation

The main driving force behind me is my desire to be better than the person I was yesterday. In that sense, I have always aimed to be the best version of myself possible.
