Pontica’s Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament 2025: Sun, Sports, and a Shared Cause

In September, we gathered colleagues, partners, and friends for one of our favorite traditions – the Pontica Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament.

For the third consecutive year in Burgas and for the very first time in Varna, the event brought together over 25 teams, endless smiles, and a powerful sense of community.

Two Cities, One Spirit

The tournament kicked off at Burgas Beach Arena, in partnership with Beach Volley Burgas, before moving to the sands of Asparuhovo Beach in Varna. Mixed teams of three players, from beginners to seasoned volleyball fans, competed in a friendly but energetic atmosphere. With six winning teams across both cities, there was no shortage of excitement and celebration. The first prize in Varna went to the Aylyacite team, while in Burgas the Sunny Beach Friends snatched the the golden medal.

Playing for a Purpose

At Pontica, giving back is at the heart of our #wesupporttheYOUNG vertical. This year, the funds raised will go towards buying and donating sports equipment to schools in Burgas and Varna. Supporting the next generation and creating opportunities for them to grow remains one of our biggest commitments.

More Than Just Volleyball

While competition was strong, the tournament was about more than the score. It was about coming together – colleagues, local communities, and partners, to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of giving back. The energy on and off the court showed once again how sports can inspire unity and shared purpose.
