As the curtains fall on 2023, Pontica stands at the threshold of a new era, having traversed a dynamic and transformative fourth quarter. This quarter was defined by a tapestry of events, initiatives, and celebrations that underscored our unwavering commitment to innovation, talent development, and community engagement.
In November, our co-founders and CEOs Ivan Georgiev and Evgeni Borisov rocked the stage of the 2023 Forbes Innovation Forum. During the event, they delved into the transformative power of outsourcing, highlighting how Pontica Solutions continues to redefine industry standards with continuous innovation, including cutting-edge AI and digital transformation.
Meanwhile, our HR team was in full force at HR Days 2023: Boosting People's Potential, organized by the Bulgarian Association for People Management. From providing opportunities for development that our people aspire to achieve to addressing their expectations, needs and concerns in the workplace and how new technologies fit into those processes - we discussed it all and more!
Q4 of last year was buzzing with excitement around the many career events we took part in!
As part of our #wesupporttheYOUNG CSR vertical, in October our CEO and co-founder Ivan Georgiev took part as a guest lecturer in ICT Cluster Varna. The event brought together many ambitious high school students, university students, and lecturers, offering them the chance to meet innovative companies, get familiar with the many opportunities to grow a successful career in the ICT sector in Varna, and learn about the softs kills that are key to leadership excellence.
It was also a great pleasure to once again be part of the 8th edition ESFAM French Tech event in Sofia. Our colleagues connected with many French speakers, eager to hear about companies like Pontica which offer great career opportunities for multilingual talent.
In December, Pontica was proud to participate as the main sponsor at the "Life and Career: Why Bulgaria?" event organized in Varna by our partners at Bulgaria Wants You. Our Co-Founders and CEOs stole the spotlight during the speakers panel. Ivan Georgiev highlighted the unparalleled growth potential in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, Evgeni Borisov shattered the myth that you need to search abroad for success in tech, emphasizing the wealth of opportunities in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, our Recruitment team connected with incredible talents on the lookout for their next big career move!
But that’s far from all – in October, we were already hustling! We had the opportunity to connect with top talent during two career events in Varna. At the Varna University of Management, our Head of Talent Yoanna Dimova was a guest lecturer, leading an insightful presentation and discussion on the key skills for achieving success across all professions. Meanwhile, at the Career Forum Varna, organized by the Employment Agency, our Recruitment team met with many young and ambitious individuals, sharing Pontica's vision, culture, and exciting career opportunities.
Double birthday vibes at the top! In December, we celebrated our Co-Founders and CEOs and Co-Founders Ivan Georgiev and Evgeni Borisov becoming one year wiser. Fun fact: both are born on December 12! We surprised them with a special present and a heartwarming birthday video from our incredible team!
In Q4, we had some truly magical engagement initiatives for our Pontica dream team!
With our heartwarming November Pizza Friday: Bring Your Kid to Work initiative, we transformed our offices into a kids' playground. Our colleagues brought their children to their workplace, where we have planned an array of activities to keep the little ones entertained, including games, tasty treats, and an office tour to give them a glimpse into where their parents work every day.
In December, we spread the holiday cheer with some festive fun! Our offices were buzzing as we kicked off the season with a Secret Santa exchange, making spirits bright and surprises even merrier. To top it off, we put our thinking caps on for a Christmas-themed quiz that tested our knowledge of holiday traditions, iconic movies, and, of course, some good old festive trivia!
Before we took a well-deserved holiday break, we organized our yearly Christmas Charity Bazaar and turned our offices into a wonderland of warmth and goodwill. Our colleagues have the chance to choose the perfect gift for their loved ones amongst a treasure trove of handmade delights crafted with love by incredible charity organizations like Maria's World, Life with Down Syndrome, and Dar Pazar. From cozy knits to festive ornaments, every purchase supports a cause close to our hearts!
